Our insurance can cover you to travel provided the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) is not advising against all, or all but essential travel to your destination and it is not on the red list.
All customers must follow the advice of the FCDO at the time of travel and for the duration of their trip. This includes returning to the UK if the FCDO changes their travel advice based on the risks presented at the time. https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice
Our policies provide cover for:
- Emergency medical treatment and repatriation, when medically necessary, if you contract COVID-19 whilst abroad.
- Cover for additional accommodation & transport costs if you are told to isolate abroad (limits apply) due to contracting Covid-19.
- Cancellation if you are unable to travel because you contracted COVID-19 within 14 days of your departure date. This includes a positive pre-travel test. (Policies purchased on or after 16 October 2020 only).
There is no cover under any other section of the policy for anything caused by or relating to Covid- 19/Coronavirus/SARs-COV-2, any mutation of Covid-19/Coronavirus/SARs-COV-2 or any pandemic or fear or threat of any of the above.
Our policies will not provide cover if:
- You are breaking regional or national lock down laws.
- You travel to a destination where the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) is advising against all, or all but essential travel.
- You travel to a destination which is on the government’s red list.
Our policies do not provide cover for:
- Cancellation caused by a change to; FCDO travel advice, a country’s traffic light classification, or the rules on international travel, due to COVID-19 or any other pandemic.
- Cancellation if your travel provider cancels or postpones your trip.
- Cancellation if you have to self-isolated due to COVID-19
- Denied entry to the country or territory you are travelling to.
- Having to quarantine or isolate when you return to the UK (this includes hotel quarantine costs).
- Having to purchase Covid-19 tests.

How many adults do there need to be on the policy??
- There needs to be at least 1 adult per 10 children
- What age do you class as a child?
- A child is 18 and under
- What is the maximum duration for a trip?
- A trip can be up to 22 days
- What is the age limit for adults?
- 19 - 75 years old
- What cancellation cover is available to us?
- The School Trip policies can cover up to a maximum of £2,500 per person
- Can we ski on this policy?
- Yes, if you choose the Wintersports option, which provides cover for Emergency medical and also include Ski Pack and Piste Closure. If you only choose Category C which also includes wintersports, this will only cover emergency medical whilst partaking
- No cover for ski race training and racing or any competitive wintersports
- On piste only. If you want off piste with a guide/instructor in recognised resort area, you must also choose Category C for additional emergency medical cover for that activity
- If skiing in France and Switzerland (border on the mountain), must choose Europe 2 option, as Switzerland isn't in Option 1
- Should wear helmet
- What about pre-existing medical conditions?
- There is cover for the insured person 18 years of age or under for pre-existing conditions, if traveling in UK and Europe
- No cover for pre-existing medical conditions if aged 19 or over
- There is no cover under the policy if the insured person 18 years of age or under travelling outside of Europe and has ever had any of the following conditions:
- heart or circulatory related problem
- stroke
- cancer
- any breathing problems
- diabetes
- irritable bowel disease
- any health condition which has been treated in hospital or has been referred to a specialist in the last 6 month
- Do we have to be a School Group to take out this policy?
- No, you don't strictly have to be School, however there does need to be a child included under each policy
- What activities are covered?
- There a three Activity Categories, A, B and C. Option A is covered as Standard. Please obtain a quote to view the list of Activities under the 'Options' section
- Do the Sports and Activities under Categories A, B and C, include Personal Liability and Personal Accident?
- There is no Personal Liability or Personal Accident cover whilst participating in any Sports & Hazardous activities
